Wagaboo
Fun eating. That is how Wagaboo defines its modus operandi at the dining rooms of the two floors it has just opened in Valencia street. They work on a fun concept of creative cuisine elaborated by eastern masters, which does not mean the menu is based on noodles and sushi. On the contrary, they are specialists in preparing fresh pasta and the search for new dishes from enthusiast and modern cuisines. Wagaboo combines local, Mediterranean and Oriental products without sacrificing traditional flavours. Cooks work on their culinary skills in full view of all the guests.
Just to get an idea of it, you can start with a selection of dim sum, the Machu-Pichu ceviche (raw fish marinated in lemon juice) or a foie-based Crema Catalana. Their speciality of the house is pasta, which is devided in two: the Italian (fettucini with ox ragu, for instance), and the Asian (mee goren with red curry or la-mien with scallops and prawns, among others). Still, they also offer pizzas and other dishes, such as the Hamburg Fricandelle or the tuna fillet. Dinner at the Wagaboo is about 20 € per person.
The delicious menu is combined with the excellent design of its two floors. Leather chairs in black and white alternate with comfortable sofas and flashy innovative lamps. Curtains, tablecloths made of quail leather and colorful glasses give Wagaboo the final touch.
