Back in the 20s, Adi Dressler started to create sneakers with 3 objectives in mind: to satisfy an athlete`s needs, to protect him or her from injuries and to make a long wearing product. Almost a century later, these models that saw Olympic athletes grow and flourish, are recycling themselves back to life through Adidas Originals. With less athletic and more aesthetic views in mind, the firm has created this line of clothes and sneakers to pay tribute to vintage.

More than a year has passed since Adidas Original opened its first store in Barcelona, just enough to have become a fetish for many. It has given us the chance to wear the same shoes as three time Olympic medal winner Wilma Rudolph, soccer player Franz Beckenbauer or Ulrike Meyfarth, a young talent who won his first gold medal at the age of 16.

But besides the reedited nostalgia of Originals, the Adidas store has two more collections. One dedicated to the multifaceted boxer/poet Muhammad Ali, using his popular verse "Fly like a butterfly, sting like a bee" as its slogan. And Respect, the Missy Elliot clothing line. As an added plus, the rapper donates all profits from her clothes line to the fight against battered women.
