Near the Plaza de Dos de Mayo, in the heart of Malasaña, the Weirdo bar is reminiscent of the bars that turned Malasaña famous more than two decades ago. At Weirdo you will find pure rock & roll and lots of fun. Fans of rock’n’roll and ’60s music are regulars and share space with bands from the area as well as foreign bands when they are on tour in the capital. It is said that the Black Lips always stop at the Weirdo when in Madrid.

The place is small, decorated with posters by legendary bands like The Cramps or The Trashmen, lots of pin up photos from the 50’s and funny super freak dolls. There is a different Dj every day and different genres including garage, punk rock, power pop, soul, surf, rockabilly, rhythm & blues or Spanish ye-ye. To better understand the personality of the Weirdo bar, don’t miss their Facebook page of their posters blog. They are amazing!

Malasaña old school 100% at Weirdo and lots of fun!
