These are hard times and hopping on a plane to fly to the other end of the world seems not to be a sensible idea. We believe staying home isn’t actually the best alternative, which is why we have a luxe proposal for you to have a real sense of holidays and enjoy a few stress-free days away from work. Good2b has found a winner on the Catalan coast, the Dolce Sitges hotel, located in the outskirts of the Catalan beach town. We spent a few days in Dolce Sitges and we can only say one thing: we didn’t leave the hotel during our stay in Sitges.

A five-star hotel, Dolce Sitges is located just half an hour away from Barcelona. It offers great views of the Mediterranean Sea and a solarium with four swimming pools at different levels. As you can imagine, it is an ideal place to relax and experience the real meaning of the verb ?to disconect’ thanks to its hammocks, highly comfortable mats and poufs. The cherry on the top is the Cala Morisca bar, a tropical open-air wooden bar which serves delicious Mojitos and Piña Colada. The Dolce Vital Spa is small but functional. It includes a heated pool, a steam bath, Jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, hamman, 24h fitness and eight individual treatment cabins. We went for a de-stressing massage and it worked so well!!

At night we were too comfortable to leave the hotel’s premises and decided to have a cocktail at the Alea Lounge terrace. Afterwards, we headed for our rooms knowing in advance that there was a glass of cava waiting for us. Is there a better way to say goodnight? And, as you very well know, we love good food. Downright sybarites as we are, we were delighted to enjoy the proposal of Dolce Sitges‘ chef Jaume Balada:

*Esmarris. We had been here before, but not this time. The restaurant and the menu are elegant and modern. This is the ideal place for gourmets who go for traditional and sophisticated flavours. Open Mon to Sun from 7pm to 10:30pm. Average price: 60 Euros.

*Verema. The great surprise of our visit, for its location, with a terrace looking onto the sea, and for its exquisite morning buffet? At night we tried its delicious BBQ, which includes lobster, shirmps and hamburgers. This amazing food offer is complemented with live music. Idyllic! Open Mon to Sun. Average price 45 Euros.

*La Punta. We had heard of it before, but it wasn’t until we had lunch there after a massage at the spa that we didn’t realize we were in a paradise. Ideal for an open-air meal with views to the golf course, its menu is made up of Mediterranean dishes. Open Mon to Sun. Average price: 55 Euros.

*Deli Bar (Ddb). The hotel’s most recent inauguration was the Ddb, a luxe deli retailing gastronomic products including salads, sandwiches, hamburgers and cakes. With a fast and personalized service, it has a boutique area selling local delicatessen. Open Mon to Sun. Average price: 20 Euros. If you are interested, check out their offers here.
