Summer is gone and with it many adventures and memories. Days are shorter and cooler and we’re back to our routine. But rules can be broken and I like going against the current, I’m joining the Aperol Spritz tribe to spend a beach day in Madrid to make the farewell more refreshing.
Last weekend, we were summoned to what would be the last summer party. A cocktail party held at the Zarzuela Hippodrome that, for six hours, was transformed into a beach, rivaling the most desirable coast destinations.
I’m joining the Aperol Spritz tribe to spend a beach day in Madrid to make the farewell more refreshing.
From noon until the late afternoon, the most iconic Italian aperitif drink, Aperol Spritz, became the liquid that slaked our thirst (it was an incredible day); red gold drunk in a glass (Aperol, cava and soda) that we drank throughout a party that has undoubtedly marked a before and after. One of those parties you want to go back to, during which we also ate paella, burgers to taste, fried fish and gazpacho with chunks of Iberian ham.
All this to the tune of rockabilly band Quartet Tarantino, and accompanied by the experience of seeing Madrid with a beach thanks to a pair of Oculus glasses. Sand, sun, and very good drinks that dismantled the myth that in Madrid there is no beach! We left there with a good dose of great vibes to face the first and lazy autumn days. And we’re sure we’ll find another excuse to toast with Aperol Spritz.
