People living in Sant Cugat long know that if they want to enjoy good pintxos and Basque cuisine in general in a relaxed ambiance they must go to the Telefèric restaurant, a classic of the area. Culture enthusiast have it even better because from Telefèric’s walls hang paintings depicting Spain’s pictorial history that have little to envy to such emblematic artists as Picasso and Miró.

It has taken Telefèric twenty years become a legendary place that now has a replica in the city of Barcelona. It may not be the trendiest restaurant of the area, but it is indeed a great option to have a snack at any time of the day.

Here’s a list of recommended pintxos: grilled caramelized foie with with apple (2,5 euros), sashimi-style tuna fish (4,55 euros), cod croquette with mushroom cream (4,55 euros). The star dish is Basque laminated sirloin with Piquillo peppers. As for desserts, we recommend bitter truffle chocolate with red currant and strawberry ice cream and the Montserrat dessert, pudding with grated strawberry and dulce de leche ice cream.

Pricing goes as follows: pintxos with bow sticks are 1,45 euros; red ball sticks are 1,85; golf clubs are 2,5; brochettes are 2,85 and the red drum is 4,55.

A good meal at Telefèric is between 15 to 20 euros.
