Ah, those pre-winter days in which we’re eager to get home, turn off the heater and lie on the sofa with a blanket… We know you won’t want to move, so here’s a plan to take you out to enjoy a hot tea in good company. Come on! Don’t hesitate! Leave the blanket there for some other time!
Tekoe takes you on a trip through countries with a deep tea tradition! Try it!
Located on number 22 of the lively Calle Huertas and with a selection of over 120 pure and mixed teas, this is one of those places featured on European indie films we love so much. A coquettish tea place to honour the second most-drunk beverage in the world and to enjoy premium specialties of Swiss brand Tekoe, established 10 years ago by Valerie Peyre and Pierre Maget, who, for years, collected leaves and shoots of the Camellia Sinensis (tea plant). So having Darjeeling, Assam, Silver Needles, Houjicha, or Grand Cru de Hunan, among many other types of unknown tea, is a great way of welcoming the cold.
