Not much was expected from the Born when, 15 years ago, the Tantarantana restaurant opened on one of its narrow streets. Now there’s no doubt it has become a classic, a pioneer that confirms the sharp intuition of owner Isidro Marqués and his decision to open it in a booming area. Like the Born, the interior of the Tantarantana is full of history, decorated with furniture halfway between the vintage and the contemporary that make us feel at home. The two levels and the outdoor area on the quiet street and another one in the lovely Allada Vermell square are always teeming with guests ordering Mediterranean market food in dishes and half-dishes.
