It is well-known we like to eat. We love discovering new restaurants, bars and taverns in Barcelona and Madrid to enjoy different flavours and aromas. However, what you may not know is that we also like to cook and, besides eating out sometimes, we have a great time cooking at home, whether it’s traditional recipes or more innovative ones, always with first-quality ingredients.

Today we want to share with you one of our latest creations: Wok with Vegetables, Cashews and Seafood an easy-to-make, healthy and light dish with lots of proteins and vegetables and with an exceptional flavor thanks to the master touch of Salsa Wok Kikkoman.

This recipe is ideal for busy working days. Just get some shrimps, sepia and mussels and dress them with this sauce to get a classic Asian touch.  Here’s the récipe!

Ingredients for 4 people (per serving: 1381 kJ / 330 kcal)

  • 4-5 green asparagus
  • 80 g red pepper
  • 80 g of yellow pepper
  • 1 onion
  • shiitake mushrooms 60g
  • 1 Chile
  • 8 prawns
  • 120 g of filleted cuttlefish
  • 12 mussels
  • 120 g of grouper (or redfish, as an alternative)
  • some wheat flour
  • 7 tablespoons Kikkoman Wok Sauce
  • 2/3 teaspoon of potato flour
  • oil
  • 60 g of cashews

 

Clean and blanch the asparagus. Cut them into 3-cm-long pieces. Clean the peppers and onions, and cut into bite-size pieces. Clean the Shiitake mushrooms and cut then in half. Cut the peppers crosswise and remove seeds. Peel prawns and remove the guts. Clean the cuttlefish and scratch the surface with a knife. Then cut into bite-size pieces. Clean the mussels and cook them gently. Simply cut into bite-size pieces and coat in flour.

 

Mix Kikkoman Salsa Wok and the potato flour and in a pot and heat until it thickens. Heat enough oil in a wok and fry the grouper. Drain well. Fry the shrimp in the wok and then drain. Remove the excess of oil and reheat the wok. Leave the remaining oil to fry the vegetables. Add chili first and sauté. Add the cuttlefish, the vegetables and cashews and fry over medium heat. When vegetables are almost cooked, the the Kikkoman Salsa Wok and stir.
