With an impeccable presentation and located in an exclusive shopping area, Olivia Te Cuida is the most chic ecological restaurant in Madrid. It offers breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon snacks, all made with organic products but without falling for any macrobiotic fanatism. Olivia Te Cuida will remind you of NY’s cafés although the place is not pretentious. In fact, simplicity and natural ways are its hallmark.

The decoration is rustic and warm, with high ceilings, wooden furniture, beautiful flowers, antique toasters… The place is rather small, so you have to sit next to people you might not know, as there is a central table for 10 people, a side bar and only a couple of small tables for 2.

The menu has breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks menus. To start the day with energy you have a wide selection of wholemeal bread with tomato, an oil tasting, traditional fruit (including fruit soup), organic yogurt with muesli, home made pies and biscuits, and juices, coffee or teas.

For lunch, you can order salads such as the mango and carrot with South Asian aromas; veggies such as the grilled pumpkin seasoned with fennel and coriander and a yogurt and aubergine sauce; rice or cous-cous, meats and fish such as tuna with fennel and coriander crust and a French mango sauce, pepper and mint, or the pork steak fillet with orange gremolatta, lemon and kernels. And the best of all is that you can create your own combos with the different dishes so you can have a taste of all for 7,50 and 10,50 euros.

In the afternoon, you can enjoy the rich and original sandwiches such as the country bread with hummus, red lettuce, grilled veggies and caramelized tomato. For those with a sweet tooth, there are pies such as the one made of chocolate and saffron, chocolate mousse with raspberries, or the lemon and mango pie.
