Bernat Bermudo and Oswaldo Brito, a Venezuelan and a Catalan who years ago realized how good the two of them together were at cooking, run this new restaurant in Poblesec that has become a Good2b favourite. A gastronomic oasis in an area increasingly visited by gourmet palates, where these two cocktail chefs put into practice what they learned in the endless lessons both took at Hofmann, as well as in restaurants including Jean Luc Figueras, Gaig or Mugaritz. We’re talking about Mano Rota, of course.

As you enter, the restaurant conveys a sense of dynamism. A comfortable place with a cosmopolitan spirit and affordable prices if we consider what they serve. The space has a bar, where the masters have the last word and where their favorite dishes are served—there are two tasting menus, one for €35 and another one for €55 euros; and a table, where a brief but infinitely tasty menu full of nuances and surprising textures, is offered. Both options have something in common: a very personal touch only chefs with an exquisite savoir own.

The menu is short and concise, which ensures fresh products and, judging by how coveted both the bar and the tables are, seems to have been chosen under the criteria of guests. We recommend to start the feast with Scamorza and Cassava Croquettes with Citrus Mayonnaise, Smoked Sardines Salad and Grilled Tomato or Stracciatela—the creamy inside of burrata-, a precious commodity among foodies with proficiency level. The Sea Bass Ceviche with Smoked Chili or Coal Octopus with ‘cansalada’ are other strong candidates, which we recommend to follow with Thay Suquet or Iberian Pork Stew with Truffled Artichokes and Potatoes. Among desserts, we fell in love with the White Chocolate Ganache and Greek Yogurt with Berries or Chocolate with Hazelnuts, as simple as it is tasty. We also highlight the surprising carrot cake, which is originally presented. Eating á la carte is about 25-30 euros. On weekdays they serve a lunch menu for 14 euros.
