Jeff Mills’s love affair with the future is still on. Detroit techno has always been futuristic and hectic and obsessed with machines and their possibilities. Mills is equally fascinated with cinema. A couple of years ago, he released the soundtrack of the Fritz Lang classic film Woman in the moon, which he played live at Glasgow’s film festival.

The CD was released through Axis Records

In 2000, Mills also produced a soundtrack for Fritz Lang’s marvelous futuristic dystopia Metropolis, regarded as one of the greatest films of German expressionist cinema and of the history of cinema in general. Now the techno genius is about to release a new 3-hour-long live recording of the Woman in the Moon soundtrack at London’s Coronet Theatre. The Wizard will be announcing more European dates soon.
