The Brixton-based Italian artist Alberto Seveso continues to explore underwater photography through very colorful abstract images. His obsession with the shapes, colors and textures that ink and other materials take underwater led him to make such sublime snapshots that it’s hard to believe they are real. The result is motion graphic or 3D works made with photographs.

In his latest series Heavy Metals he returns underwater to experiment with all kinds of fluids that somewhat explore in contact with water, creating amazing textured psychedelic clouds. The title of the series probably refers to his beginnings in art in the ’90s, when his source of inspiration was graphic design linked to skate culture and heavy metal album covers.
