1800 Tequila, owned by the Beckmann family, returns with a new installment of its 1800 Essential Artists series: six models of bottles with original drawings by Jean-Michel Basquiat! As a spokesman for the brand said: ?This drink is best enjoyed singularly, sans frills, garnishes, and superfluous trends. Basquiat was a visionary, and a nonconformist role model for strength in simplicity and shared the same core values as the world’s most singularly drinkable tequila, consistently refusing to fall victim to gratuitous trend?.

The brand, which is distributed in the U.S. by Proximo Spirits, remains committed to limited editions and collaborations, with a list of over thirty artists. In this case they have decided to honor the extraordinary artist Basquiat. His drawings and paintings contain images that reflect his ideas about life and the world around him. Stylistically, his work is inspired by multiple references, contemporary artists like Picasso or Pollock, jazz music, primitive African art, which is perfectly reflected in this collection. Soon available in stores worldwide. Stay tuned!
