Let’s be honest. An escapade to Sitges always feels good, anytime during the year to get away from the city. Any excuse is good to visit one of the most charming seaside villages outside the city and get a deserved break from work. And if you decided to do so, why don’t you do it in style? Good2b recommends Dolce Sitges, a hotel located on the outskirts of the Catalan town that has everything necessary to make of your stay a unique experience. We spent a day there and it seems the best option. In addition, because of the Festival de Cine Fantástico, Dolce Sitges has an offer of 94 euros per person which includes a breakfast, a pass for a film, and a gastronomic detail in the room. We already know what it is and we know you will like a lot.

Details make this hotel unique. Dolce Sitges is a 5* hotel localed just 30 minutes away from Barcelona. It was born out of the necessity of its founder to find a hotel offering space for conferences, that’s why it has many rooms that can be used for other purposes.

The hotel’s most privileged rooms have views of the Mediterranean and a terrace for sunbathing. But if you want a god tan, go down to one of the four swimming pools at different levels inside. As you can imagine, it’s the perfect place to relax and disconnect on hammocks, comfy mattresses and poufs. To top things off, the wooden, tropical Cala Morisca bar serves delicious mojitos and piña coladas for thirsty guests. The swimming pool areas are the ideal complement to Dolce Vital Spa, a water area that, although small, it’s functional. It includes an indoor heated pool, steam room, jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, hammam, fitness room open 24 hours and 8 treatment rooms to relax. We chose de-stressing massage and other facial massage and… it worked!

The truth is that the place is so nice that, during our stay, we didn’t really want to leave Dolce at night. We were so relaxed we didn’t want to ruin it, so we stayed there and had a cocktail at the Alea Lounge. Obviously, there is nothing like going back to our room and find a glass of champagne waiting for us! Who needs more? We don’t, that’s for sure!

As you know, gastronomy is one of the ten commandments of our personal bible. We love to eat and were really satisfied with Dolce Sitges’ offer. Here are some of our recommendations.

We love to eat and were really satisfied with Dolce Sitges’ offer

*Esmarris. This is the gourmet restaurant of Jaume Balada, who has returned to the hotel after three years with other adventures. It is something we celebrate, because we had already tasted his food and it’s worth the experience. Both the space and the dishes are elegant and avant-garde. Indeed a destination for gourmets who like traditional flavors mixed with sophistication. Open Monday to Sunday from 19:00 to 22:30. Average price 60 euros.

*Verema. The big surprise of our visit. And not only because of its ideal location, an outdoor area overlooking the sea, but also because of its delicious morning buffet. At night we tried their barbecue, with a varied offer of fresh fish dishes. Verema is a seasonal restaurant which closes in winter, so don’t miss it next year! Open Monday to Sunday. BBQ Price 45 euros.

*La Punta. This time we didn’t have time to sit down and taste the delicacies of this outdoor restaurant, but we did in the past and passed the exam with high marks. Perfect for a meal overlooking a golf course with Mediterranean diet dishes. Open Monday to Sunday. Average price 50 euros.

*Deli Bar (Ddb). The latest hotel opening fills an empty space of Dolce Sitges. It is a luxury deli with a gastronomic offer that blends an informal menu with fast service. Salads, sandwiches, burgers and pies are the protagonists. It also has a deli grocery space with local produce. Perfect for a quick bite while in the pool. Open Monday to Sunday. Average price 20 euros.
