Since Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik became the world’s most prestigious shoe designers, footwear design has become one of the most lucrative product lines for any fashion brand. The book Shoe Design by Aki Choklat explores the design process by comparing the anatomy of the foot and the morphology of the shoe, showing how both condition each other.

The Gustavo Gili‘s book also tackles the research and design development processes as well as the art to create a whole collection. Choklat puts emphasis on the importance of how to present a collection, including illustration techniques, and ends with a list of tips for those who wish to specialize in footwear design.
