We duly told you last week and we say it again: in 2016 music lovers will have many reasons to celebrate thanks to the release of long-awaited new albums. One of them is David Bowie’s (Blackstar), preceded by the music video for “Lazarus”.

The video is the work of Johan Renck, who also signed the short  in November.

With the same dark atmosphere as the short film, the video features oneiric images depicting Bowie as a blindfolded, bedridden enlightened preacher.

As Renck says: “One could only dream about collaborating with a mind like that; let alone twice. Intuitive, playful, mysterious and profound… I have no desire to do any more videos knowing the process never ever gets as formidable and fulfilling as this was. I’ve basically touched the sun.”
