Over at Garito de Converse there’s always something going on. A new collection in partnership with Maison Martin Margiela was presented on October 3rd (more info HERE). Some famous Madrilenian people attended, including Mario Vaquerizo, David Delfín, Bibiana Fernández, Topacio Fresh and Natalia Ferviú, who danced to the beats of Dj Prince Pelayo. During the event, attendants enjoyed the Arts & Rock Crafts, an open exhibition running until October 15th celebrating the culture of rock posters by such relevant illustrators and graphic designers as Abel Cuevas, Mario Rivere, Aitor Saraiba and Error Design. See some pics of the event above these lines.
Garito de Converse has programmed a long series of actions and activities, including the exhibition Barras Libres, a tribute to the Madrid bars that marked several generations with their risk and love for music. The show gathers the photos of cult photographers including Domingo J. Casas, Miguel Trillo, Mariví Ibarrola, but also the work of younger photographers such as Ramiro E and Alfredo Arias.
To fully experience the Get Loud attitude, several artists will invite the public to recover the aesthetic of the DIY movement. From October 9-21, tattoo artist Jesús Cuesta will decorate sneakers, jackets or any objects that falls into his hands. From October 22-31, Gori de Palma will add studs, patches and lots of rock’n’roll spirit to all kinds of garments.
