We can only expect good things from Max and Stefano Colombo, Barcelona’s most popular twin chefs. Now that Xemei has become a culinary institution in its own right, Max and Stefano have decided to take their savoir faire to El Born. Can Cisa – Bar Brutal are two communicating spaces with different personalities.

 

Can Cisa is presented as a store of natural wines, the classic bar à vins that focuses on organic wines, run alongside Joan Valencia and Joan Ramón Escoda. The room has a few tables where you can enjoy a menu of Northern Italy tapas. A few meters separate this space from Bar Brutal, a more informal proposal.

The almost 300 wine references can be enjoyed with delicious tapas made with fresh Mediterranean ingredients. Try the burrata with salmon roe, the steak tartare, the famous Xemei pickled anchovies, poached eggs or herrings with melon. An average meal at Bar Brutal is about 25 euros.

Legend has it that if you’re at Bar Brutal invite the table next to you a bottle of wine, it costs half the price. Do you dare?
