The Costa Brava sea and its picturesque corners were the refuge of great artists in the past. Marc Roca has found inspiration in them to open the Blau restaurant in Begur. The restaurant had a loyal clientele and enjoyed good critics. However, one day Marc decided to shut down and move the Blau to Barcelona.

Luckily for Barcelona residents, Marc Roca opened the restaurant with the same philosophy he had in Begur. The menu includes dishes made with high-quality and fresh ingredients, for example the Empordá Tomatoes with Tuna Belly (a nod to the creator’s origin), which is perfect to have with a Coca with Anchovies with Romesco and Aubergine Sauce. We also recommend Iberian Ham Croquettes and Tuna Tartare with Wasabi Mayonnaise. As a second course, try Thick Rice with Prawn Stock, Piglet cooked at low temperatures with Echalote Onion. If you are still hungry, don’t forget the dessert section, especially the Rosemary Soup with Lemon Sorbet or the Steamed Chocolate Cake with Nut Milk.

Blau serves a lunch set menu for 21 euros. At night, there is also a set menu for a price ranging from 30 to 42 euros.

We are fans of Blau and we would like you to become one, too. We are giving away a night set menu for two among those answering the question you will find after logging in on the upper right tap. Good luck!
