Betlem has achieved what few can achieve, to become the best hotspot of the Right Eixample in a question of months. Established in 1892, the bar has recently undergone renovation. Vermouth and Iberian ham are the highlights of this trendy new place that has known how to keep tradition, quality and good service.

The menu features tapas with that modern touch we like so much. We recommend you to order vermouth, which is always accompanied by stuffed olives, and then go on to try the house’s specialties, among them acorn cured ham, cockles or clams, always a winner, as well as steak tartar, omelets with seasonal ingredients, crunchy dewlap with lemon potato or Iberian Fillet with Piquillo peppers. As for desserts, try mató with yogurt ice cream.

A meal is about 20 Euros, depending on the wine or on whether you finish your meal with a drink. Betlem is specially recommended for lovers of tradition with a modern twist.
