The proposals for the SS16 season are about to be announced. Brands are finalizing details, fashion films and collaborations. However, they also put a lot of emphasis on window displays. In this sense, the Bershka Young Designers Project supports young designers by showing their work in Bershka’s flagship stores around the world every season. So far we’ve seen collaborations with Dina Lynnyk, Mana Morimoto or Siebring&Zoetmulder. In 2016 it’s the turn of German artist Meike Harde, whose artwork will be on show in Madrid (Gran Vía, 25) and in Marineda City, A Coruña.
Her installation is made with a technique called Wooden Aquarelle, which consists in dying wooden plates with pigmented water. Water is poured on wood to create a unique and dynamic affect. As Harde says: “With Wooden Aquarelle I can produce a large number of unique individual pieces. Moreover, it allows me to use an artistic technique while at the same time I design furniture.” Learn more about the creation process in this new and special display for Bershka’s Spring-Summer season.
