When two good projects decide to become one, which is the case of Librería Bernat and Café Farfalina, the result is something as exciting as +Bernat, a space providing a wide literary catalogue and a café to enjoy a good drink and a good reading. The place has already become literary in real life as, along with its owner, it’s featured on Enrique Vila-Mata’s new novel Aire de Dylan.

+Bernat is a versatile place in that it celebrates a string of different events each week?literary events, talks, workshops, concerts??and provides customers with a rich gastronomic offer, all with the aim of promoting culture in the city.

The cafeteria’s balanced and homemade menu turns it into a unique place in this area, near the sometimes almost moribund Plaza Francesc Macià. The day starts with breakfast including homemade cakes, biscuits, sandwiches, yogurt with granola, toast with jelly, natural juices and a right selection of teas and coffees. For lunch they serve a 10 Euro menu (two courses, a drink and a coffee). The day finishes with a late afternoon snack with a menu similar to that of breakfast time.

+Bernat has free WiFi connection, which makes it an ideal place to work outside the office.
