Meat bar Bardeni ?Cardeni Bar’s older brother next door? has just opened dressed in passion red to serve small meat dishes on a bar. Both restaurants, run by Dani Lechuga, share menus and typography. A modern and unpretentious restaurant, it has room for 16 people sitting at the mini bar or at high tables on the sides, only suitable for couples. Despite its size, we are sure this gastrobarra will be very successful among those with a weakness for meat.

The menu is short but well selected. You can start with bull’s tail cannelloni with Parmentier and nuts or with scallops with bacon. You can combine these dishes with their popular patatas bravas, which slightly reminiscent to Arola’s, or with delicious ham croquettes. The best comes on the menu’s second page, with delicacies such as ?finger food’ fricasser, hamburger, Caldeni-style steak tartar or the tender Wagyu onglet. Portions are tapa-sized and designed for sharing. Among the desserts we recommend brownie with white chocolate mousse and raspberries. We found it so amazing we would commit to refund the money to the unsatisfied if there is ever one! An average meal is about 25/30 euros. The menu includes wine by the glass and a spot-on beer list. Bardeni also offers daily recommendations written on the walls around the bar.

A must!
