Anthony Gerace is a London-based multidisciplinary artist that focuses on photography, graphic design, illustration and collage, a fairly wide range of disciplines considering the fact that his work in any of these formats is excellent. It is true that his experimentation in each was progressive and quite natural: from collage to illustration, from illustration to graphic design and, finally, photography. Today we present some of his collages, though we will soon also show you his work as a poster artist and as a photographer. We have chosen his series There must be more to life than this.

Portraits, landscapes and illustrations, taken from old magazines, which we deconstructed through pixels and chromatic

The title is call to rebellion, a strong artistic protest, definitely a very suggestive title for the collection of portraits, landscapes and illustrations taken from old magazines deconstructed into pixels and chromaticism. Squares that show or hide possible lives or improbable realities. There must be more to life this was Anthony Gerace’s immersion on more abstract and confused seas, leaving realism and figuration behind. This is project of deconstruction and collage which officially began in 2011, although its first manifestations date from 2009. More info here.
