Forget the classic concept of starter, main course and dessert. The XS gastronomy is here thanks to the 80º restaurant, where you can eat all the dishes you need to satiate your hunger.

The 80º restaurant opened in Las Tablas, Madrid, in 2010. The unexpected success if this formula, led their owners to open a second restaurant in Malasaña, in a more modern space tailored to the clientele of the neighbourhood, with large windows overlooking the street Manuela Malasaña and brick walls. And what’s the key to their success? Good raw material, pure flavours and a nice presentation. And what’s the secret? Never cook food over 80ºC in order to preserve all the nutrients, proteins and flavour.

Among the XS dishes, we highlight the delicious truffled egg with potatoes and ham; steak tartare with mustard ice cream and parmesan cheese; crispy finger chips with honey mustard sauce; the amazing squid sandwich with bread or pastry toast with mushroom ragout and grilled foie. To sweeten the evening, don’t miss their cookies and chocolate milk. And to wash the food down, what about a strawberry daiquiri?

For lunch they serve two menus including 3 or 4 of gastroXS proposals for no more than 13.50 euros. Haute cuisine in miniature at affordable prices!
